Ministries for Children

Ministries for Children include Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and the Children’s Choir. 

Boy Scouts

Our Mission is to prepare young men to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

The Boy Scouts of America is the nation’s foremost youth program of character development values-based leadership training.

Scouting programs continue to:

  • Offer young people responsible fun and adventure with an emphasis on outdoor activities like camping, canoeing, mountain biking, etc.
  • Instill in young people lifetime values and develop in them ethical character as expressed in the Scout Oath and Law
  • Train young people in citizenship, service and leadership
  • Serve America’s communities and families with its quality, values-based programs

 

Cub Scouts is open to boys age 7 – 10, and Boy Scouts is open to boys 11-17 years old.

Children's Choir

Join us!

All students, from any school, in grades 2nd – 6th interested in participating in the Sunday 10:00 am liturgical celebration are invited to join the OLA Children’s Choir.  Practices are every Tuesday from 4-5pm in the church.

Girl Scouts

Join the Girl Scouts!

Each troop meets monthly and collectively earns badges and completes challenges by instilling the girls with courage, confidence and character, with the mission of making the world a better place. Most meetings are held directly after school or in the evening to allow for girls to participate in sporting activities as well as extracurricular activities. If you are interested in joining the existing troop, or starting your own OLA troop for another grade, please contact the OLA School Office at (650) 343-9200.

Jubilee Opening
Mass

Sunday, September 13 at 10:00am Mass in the OLA Church

You are cordially invited to the Jubilee Opening Mass with Archbishop Salvatore J. Cordileone as we begin our 100th Anniversary Celebration. Please join us after the 10am Mass for a BIG Cafe OLA reception featuring music, games and lots of food and friends! This Mass will be livestreamed on our YouTube Channel (instead of the usual 5pm Saturday Mass).
