LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR Grocery Assistance Program Launches in San Mateo County
Our Lady of Angel's Terry-Lloyd family, including Natalie (14), Josie (13), and Connor (9) hit the aisles of San Mateo's Smart and Final this week to round up and drop off much-needed coffee, hot chocolate and soup supplies for San Bruno-based Catholic Worker House's (CWH) drop-in clients who are seeking warmth on the streets. "Our kids were thrilled to get out and do something meaningful like this. And Petter Stiehler, the CWH director could not have been nicer to us" said mother Lindsay Terry-Lloyd.
The family is part of OLA's Coronavirus Outreach team of volunteers who are partnering up with the San Francisco Archdiocese "Love Your Neighbor" program to shop and drop off food essentials to neighbors in need. Anyone needing groceries is welcome to call the Love Your Neighbor hotline at (888) 237-7807. The program is funded by a COVID-19 Seed Grants. Please call the hotline if your parish is interested in participating in the program.
